General Information

The Kitchen is nicely stocked with various sized pots and pans. There is a coffee maker and electric tea kettle (I drink tea, so that was a must). We have a rice steamer and a large electric griddle for cooking breakfasts for large groups. Of course, there is a stove and microwave.

The best place to shop is at SaveMart or Safeway at Tahoe City. Save Mart is my favorite. It is at the intersection where you turn south on 89, so a convenient location. To go to Safeway, ddrive through Tahoe City, it is on the right near the end of town. There is a convenience market in Tahoma about 1/2 mile south of where you turn to go to our cabin. It is well stocked and has a great deli.

In the case of snow, we have a snow removal contract for the driveway. However, there is at times a small berm in front of the front porch steps that you may need to shovel. We have a shovel on the front porch.

One block from the cabin is an access trail to the Rubicon Trail. This area is fun for many off-road activities... hiking, biking, fishing.

Be very careful not to leave any food or empty food containers in your car. Bears have frequently been known to tear car doors open in the pursuit of food left in cars.
